Promotional printing showroom and retail store opens in Hamilton, ON
Oakville, ON, November 19, 2010 – Franchise concept Instant Imprints is set to make a big impression in Hamilton as it officially opens its doors on November 26th.
Instant Imprints is a promotional marketing franchise that offers screen printing, promotional products, embroidery, sign and banner production in a 1,200 square foot retail store, with many services done in-house. Begun in the United States in 2002, the Canadian chain was founded in 2007 when former The UPS Store President and CEO Ralph Askar and a group of Shareholders purchased the chain.
“We are a company that is in rapid growth mode and poised to be the number one branding and promotional advertising chain in Canada,” says Ralph Askar, President and CEO of Instant Imprints North America.
The new Hamilton store, located at 1405 Upper Ottawa Street, is owned by Marcus Vandenburg. “Instant Imprints offers limitless solutions, but only ONE purpose: helping our customers promote. We can imprint on anything from pens, golf balls and clothing to cars and buildings,” he says.
“Unlike traditional imprinting companies, large volumes do not need to be ordered,” he explains. “Any size quantity can be ordered, ranging from one to thousands. Furthermore, because we are a retail store, people can come in and see firsthand the quality and range of our products we do in-house. From corporate uniforms to shirts for family reunions or birthday parties, Instant Imprints is the single source solution for businesses looking to customize, or consumers looking to personalize, just about anything.”
Vandenburg will be celebrating his grand opening on Friday, November 26th with an Open House and Food and Toy Drive for the Neighbour to Neighbour Centre, underscoring his own commitment to becoming a proactive member of the Hamilton community. The charitable drive will continue until December 20th, with food and toys being collected for the centre’s Christmas hampers.

Instant Imprints Canada puts stamp on Alberta
Company awards Area territory to veteran franchise team
Oakville, ON, May 20, 2010: Instant Imprints Canada (II.CA) is proud to announce it has awarded the Alberta Area Master Franchise rights to Dan Lyon and Kathy Campbell, an award-winning Area Franchise team who are integral to the success of The UPS Store chain throughout the Prairie provinces and who will now share their experience to grow the Instant Imprints brand. They will be responsible for recruiting new franchisees for Instant Imprints, providing operational support for existing stores, securing locations and providing local training.
Instant Imprints is North America’s largest branding and promotional advertising franchise that offers screen printing, promotional products, embroidery, sign and banner production in a retail setting with most services done in-house. This is a new franchise concept being introduced to Alberta. Begun in the United States in 2002, the Canadian chain was founded in 2007 when former The UPS Store President and CEO Ralph Askar purchased the Canadian rights to the chain. He has subsequently bought out the North American rights.
As Area Franchisees for Instant Imprints, Lyon and Campbell will draw upon their extensive and successful 15 year background in franchising to introduce and grow the Instant Imprints brand and chain within Alberta. Before adding Instant Imprints to their business portfolio, Lyon and Campbell grew The UPS Store chain from 22 to 63 stores within Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and are looking forward to doing the same with Instant Imprints.
“Instant Imprints is an attractive business concept for people looking to own their own business,” comments Lyon. “The franchise agreement is such that you own your equipment integral to the store’s success, rather than lease, which makes it cost effective and puts you in a strong equity position. The services the franchise offers are much in demand and Kathy and I are looking forward to helping entrepreneurs on both sides of the counter maximize their opportunities.”

Instant Imprints Selected as one of Bonds Top 100 Franchises:
Given that there are over 3,500 active North American franchise systems, it is intimidating for most potential franchisees to begin their search for a business that fits their particular needs. As a pre-eminent publisher of nine books on franchising, Source Book Publications and the Bond’s List provides prospective franchisees with insight into the franchise market.
Bond’s evaluates the industry by dividing it into four major segments: food-service franchises, lodging franchises, retail franchises and service-based franchises. From there a rigorous, in-depth analysis was performed within each group to arrive at what was determined to be the top 100 franchises. Companies are evaluated on the basis of historical performance, brand equity, market dynamics, franchisee satisfaction, the level of initial training and on-going support, financial stability and other key factors.
Instant Imprints is proud to have been selected in 2009 to be one of the Top 100 Franchise companies featured on the Bond’s Top 100 Franchises listing, which appears in the 3rd (2009) edition of Bond's Top Franchises.
Instant Imprints Continues to grow within Canada:
Instant Imprints Canada is proud to announce it has awarded the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Area Master Franchise rights to Winnipeg businessman Iain Scott. This is a new franchise concept being introduced to these provinces. As an Area Franchisee, Scott will be assisting Instant Imprints Canada in building a critical mass of stores within the Manitoba and Saskatchewan markets. He will be responsible for recruiting new franchisees, providing operational support for existing stores, securing locations and providing local training.
Instant Imprints is North America’s largest branding and promotional advertising franchise that offers screen printing, promotional products, embroidery, sign and banner production in a retail setting with most services done in-house. Scott will bring his extensive background in printing to his new position as Area Franchisee for Instant Imprints. In addition, Scott will use his experience as a franchise owner – he is the owner of the number one performing The UPS Store franchise in the Manitoba/Saskatchewan area - to his role at Instant Imprints.
